The Front of Main Street Station

The Historic Viroqua Public Market is an indoor market in a historic rehab of an old auto garage.  With over 100 local merchants, the Historic Viroqua Public Market is your ''Destination Shopping Mall''.  

You will find organic food, music concerts and events and a unique, charming atmosphere.  

The 12,000 sq. ft. space can accommodate hundreds of visitors and has parking for motor coaches.

Inside the Market Complex:

Sibby's Organic Zone (Oz) is run by Sibby's Organic Ice Cream and is one of the only organic soft serve parlors in America!   Guests will often meet and mingle with the founder, Sibby, herself!

The Meating Place Organic Cafe, owned by organic farmers Pam & Mike Green, dishes up delectable dishes using mostly local ingredients, specializing in their pasture-raised organic beef.  Yum!

VIVA - artists' collective gallery.  A breath-taking collection of some of the area's best artist from a variety of mediums.

The Greenman Music Hall hosts weekly concerts from a diverse group of regional and national acts.

Group Policies

•  Group Status: parties of twenty or more

•  ENTRY FEE:  NONE.  The Viroqua Public Market is always free to the public

GREENMAN THEATER PERFORMANCES: Ticket prices are generally $10 per person.  Groups may take 10% off the advance ticket price when purchased as a block with at least one week notice.   See our website for the most current listing of upcoming performances.

Capacity: The Public Market can accommodate hundreds of guests. 

Greenman Theater capacity: 100

Hours of Operation : The Public Market is open all year round. 

Base hours: Tuesday - Saturday 10am - 5pm, with evening hours during Greenman Shows.  Expanded evening hours for the Summer Season.


COMPS With each group, complimentary meals for the driver and escort

[up to two free meals per day per staff member]


Parking: Many motorcoaches often prefer to park right on Main Street, in front of the Market.

Parking is also available immediately to the East of the Market in the Methodist Church parking lot (every day except Sundays and for wedding and special events)

Facilities: Clean lavatories on site.  All areas fully disabled-person accessible;

ADA compliant.

Lodging: Currently we have no on-site over-night accommodations. However, there are several nearby B&B's and motels that accommodate motorcoaches with reservations. See below    We hope to offer limited on-site lodging in the future.

Guided Tours: With advance notice we can provide local tour guides and arrange personalized visits to Amish farms, organic farms, the Kickapoo Valley Nature Reserve, and the Sibby's Organic Ice Cream factory, which is located on a working 100 acre organic farm!   Other adventures available as well.

Proceed west to Middleton.  Take US Hwy 14 West 90 Miles to Viroqua.

From the Twin Cities

[3 hours and 15 minutes]

Take I-94 Eastbound for 130 miles to Black River Falls (about 2 hours)

Exit 115 RIGHT onto Hwy 12/27 (traveling south)

Continue on State Hwy 27 for 50 miles to Westby

Turn left onto US Hwy 14

Viroqua is 7 miles further on US Hwy 14

From Chicago

[4 hours from the NW suburbs]

Take I-90 (the Kennedy) through to the Northwest Highway (still I-90)

Continue on to Rockford and then Madison, WI (about 2 hours)

Exit #142 LEFT onto US Hwy 12 (the Beltline)

Continue on the Beltline for 16 miles - Exit at US Hwy 14 West

after exiting, turn RIGHT onto US Hwy 14

Continue on Hwy 14 for 90 miles to Viroqua (1 hr and 50 mins)
